Reflections of A 2010 Year

My first blog.. I always wanted to do this for a long time, and it feels great to finally create a blog and express my opinions to everyone that wants to read this.

So 2010.. definitely an up and down year. I would honestly say it had more downs for the majority of the year, and then turned around later on the year.


What Was Good About 2010:

• The Year as in the number 2010: ..always wondered what life would be like in the year 2010. As a kid I thought being in the year 2010 would've meant we would have spaceships and hovercrafts and all that great stuff, but I guess we havent got to that point yet..hey, there's always 2020 haha.
• Being reunited with my best friend: Out of all this craziness that was 2010, I did reunite with my best friend that I didn't talk to for the 2009 year, when I was going out with my ex..worst decision ever to not talk to her for a year..basically it was because of stupid accusations and reasons that led to that, but im glad to have her back in my life.
• Found a passion in my life: Going to a community college did help me refocus on what I need to do with my life. It also helped me discover what I like doing, which is radio. I have my own show called the Soul Flight, which plays a R&B songs and some hip hop songs for an hour. I enjoy doing that a lot and it helps that people say I have a voice for radio. At the end of the semester, I got the award for Second Most Average Listeners, in my FIRST semester in radio. Not too bad if i say so myself.
• Got a Car!
• Learned a ton of things in school that have real world applications. Always a plus.

 What Went Wrong In 2010

• Messy Breakup with my ex.. if i had to push a reset button on how i broke up with her, i would've pushed it..but life moves on. best of luck to her.
• Having to come home from my favorite university: The decision to have to come home from Western Michigan was by far one of the decisions that took me a while to accept. But I got an opportunity to come back, so im pretty much working my ass off to get back to the university I love so much. Great friends and great things are waiting for me, so i'm gonna put in work to get back into that University.
• Fights and Flings: usually a summer fling lasts only for the..summer.. but to try to get that to last longer than that is not a good idea. I don't usually like to be a heartbreaker nor enjoy being one, but if I aint feeling it, then I gotta do what I gotta do..simple as that.

 Like I said, 2010 had many ups and downs, but through these experiences, It can only make me stronger, make me wiser, make me better.
 Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger, and best believe i'll turn it around and 2011 WILL be a better year.
